Michael Taylor, M.D.

Radiologist

Dr. Taylor has been practicing in the Bay Area for the past six years.  He serves as the Chairman of Radiology at St. Mary’s Medical Center and St. Francis Memorial Hospitals, and is also president of his radiology group, Image Guided Therapeutics, Inc.

 

Dr. Taylor is subspecialty-trained in Vascular and Interventional Radiology, specializing in both CT and MR vascular imaging, as well as minimally-invasive Endovascular and Oncologic therapies.

 

After graduating from Duke University, where he majored in Neuroscience, Dr. Taylor received his M.D. degree from the University of Florida, having been awarded NIH funding and the Juri M. Kaude Award for research in the field of Radiology.

 

Following a medical-surgical Internship at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Taylor began his Radiology residency at the University of Southern California and completed it at the University of Miami, including trauma radiology training at the prestigious Ryder Trauma Center.  In addition, he received the Dr. Robert Shapiro Award in Radiology research for Breast Imaging.

 

After completing a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of Miami, Dr. Taylor was invited to serve as an Assistant Professor in Trauma Radiology.  However, Dr. Taylor elected to pursue a private practice career in South Florida for nearly 3 years.

 

Originally from the South Florida area, Dr. Taylor decided to move to California after meeting his wife, who is from the Bay Area.  He enjoys living in Marin County, hiking, wine tasting, and international travel.
