McKelvey Foundation
The late Andy McKelvey, the founder and former Chairman and CEO of Health Diagnostics, was an entrepreneur since the age of eleven. Grateful for decades of his own entrepreneurial success, Andy felt a sense of obligation to give back to his country. To that end, in 2000, Andy established the McKelvey Foundation as a means of promoting and encouraging entrepreneurial spirit among America's young people.
The McKelvey Foundation awards college scholarships through two separate programs: the Entrepreneurial Scholarship provides college funding to high school seniors who have demonstrated their entrepreneurial spirit by owning and operating their own businesses while in high school; and the McKelvey Scholarship focuses on rural communities in Western Pennsylvania, New York and West Virginia, offering college funds to low-income high school students who will be the first in their families to attend college.

Over 1,000 young people have already benefitted from the McKelvey Foundation. But the effects of this unique philanthropic endeavor go far beyond simply providing college educations. The Foundation's efforts benefit all Americans, as evidenced by the fact that much of the nation's growth and prosperity is directly attributable to the untiring entrepreneurial spirits of small business owners.
Andy passed away on November 27, 2008, leaving the McKelvey Foundation as his legacy. In honor of Andy and in full support of the importance of encouraging entrepreneurial spirit in our nation's youth, Health Diagnostics proudly continues Andy's kind and generous practice of donating a significant percentage of the company's profits to the McKelvey Foundation.
